This year’s Austria-wide season opening of the Ducati Official Clubs, organised by DOC Styria, proved to be a perfectly organized motorbike event. The participants arrived on Friday, 16 May 2025. The tour started on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the beautiful Loisium in Ehrenhausen with a riders‘ briefing. With an impressive 54 participants on 47 Ducatis, clear coordination was essential – and the crew’s discipline was impressive right from the start. The first stage led to the Weinebene (1,668 metres above sea level) at a crisp 4 degrees Celsius before the group refueled in St. Andrä and made a photo stop at the Soboth reservoir. The culinary highlight followed with a hearty lunch at the Buschenschank Garber in Eibiswald before the tour came to a photogenic end at the main square in Ehrenhausen. Apart from a few harmless raindrops, the weather played along perfectly – that was great luck for everyone.
The festive finale was the evening event in the Loisium, including a small awards ceremony, a wonderful dinner together and intensive ‘petrol talk’ among like-minded people.
Unfortunately, after breakfast on Sunday morning, it was time to pack our bags. We left in beautiful sunshine – to be replaced by pouring rain from Seebenstein on but this did not dampen the positive mood. Here a special thanks goes to our dear Daniela, who not only took care of organizing the routes to and from Styria, but also coordinated the accommodation for everyone without a glitch.
The 2025 season opening proved once again why the DOC community is so special: perfect logistics, great roads and routes and a unique camaraderie among the participants made the weekend unforgettable. With this event, the DOC Styria has shown how to combine motorbike enthusiasm and organizational talent – chapeau! We are already looking forward to the next event and would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this weekend such a success.
